To all students:
The Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBMI) at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is fielding applications for Summer 2019 interns. The 2019 internship schedule runs June 3rd – August 5th. Working hours follow a normal weekly schedule of 40 hours for each of the 9 weeks. CBMI is located in the new Bailey Power Plant building in downtown Winston-Salem, across from the Medical School.
Projects identified for this summer include domains such as Natural Language Processing, video/audio processing, image analysis, statistical analysis, data quality, API creation and consumption, and programmatic wiki generation. Skill in the following areas is helpful: SQL, Python, R, and Machine Learning. Please be sure your submission lists skill/familiarity in these areas as well as relevant coursework.
Freshmen and Sophomores are especially encouraged to apply as highly successful interns are occasionally offered additional/extended internship opportunities. (Interns working during a school semester do so with a more limited CBMI workload and schedule so that degree studies take precedence.)
For consideration, please send a resume and brief introduction to Brian Ostasiewski at firstname.lastname@example.org by Jan 31st, 2019; or apply online via internships.com search for ‘CBMI’.
